President Buhari & His Throng Of Sycophants… Oops! Sorry, Supporters.
The fine line between Support & Fanaticism which is really no different from Sycophancy is getting thinner by the day & it is funny to watch.
From supporters to antagonists of the Buhari government, there’s really not much difference. It’s the sides that differ really.
Having said that, a lot of supporters have clearly crossed the line and I don’t think they know it yet or maybe they’re just in denial.Yea, you love Buhari, I love Buhari.
However, the love for country should supercede the love for Buhari. Buhari will go, Nigeria will remain.
It is now looking like a competition to showcase who loves Buhari more. LOL! Jokes for decades. You may not agree, but this, is Sycophancy.
Some of you support without sense. Others criticize without sense. Whichever side you. fall in, Bird of a Feather naa ni gbogbo e. (You’re all birds of same feather)
You went from bullying perceived enemies to bullying even those who support the Government but choose to be more logical & rational. Smh!
Any slight criticism of the Government from even fellow Government Supporters and you’re out like rabid dogs to attack. Shame!
Looking for today’s Reno Omokri, Doyin Okupe, ETC? Look in the mirror. Yes! It is you. You have become another them in just 2 years. In fact, you became another them the moment you started feeling the need to always defend & rationalize government failings. You didn’t realize.
Slowly, you went from defending every shit to attacking honest opinions & reservations. Burning bridges & basking in arrogance. Yet you didn’t realize you’re heading towards the slope of no return.
If you remember Reuben Abati’s ‘Yesterday’s Men’, you will realize.
People can’t even raise their eyebrows anymore. You’re ever ready to throw a punch. Somehow, you think this is the life. Really?
I admit people criticize the Government for relevance or hatred for Buhari but as it is, you’re throwing the baby away with the bath water.
The loudest of Jonathan’s attack dogs have either found their way into Buhari’s government in silence or sunken into oblivion. Dejavu?
Obviously, you’ve learnt nothing from those who once occupied the positions you occupy today & it is evident that you’ll end just like they did. Empty, shallow and sad.
You can take a step back today and think deep within yourself or you can march on in your inglorious tirade of shallowness. Choice is yours!
Done!
