African Union’s APRM to hold 1st International Youth Symposium in N’Djamena, Chad.

The African Peer Review Mechanism is set to hold it’s first international youth symposium in N’Djamena, Republic of Chad.
The even which is slated to hold on 1 and 2 July 2019, in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Chad.
Organised under the auspices of His Excellency Idriss Deby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad and Chairperson of the APR Forum Symposium will encourage youth participation in good governance- oriented endeavours in Africa.
The Programme of the Symposium which will be attended by youths from across the continent, will be in line with the African Union 2019 Theme – “Year of Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced People (IDPs): Towards Durable Solutions to Forced Displacement in Africa.”
Recall that the 28th African Union Heads of State Summit, which was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, re-emphasised the urgent need for AU Member States to prioritise the principle of “Harnessing the Demographic Dividend through Investments in Youth” across the Continent.
